2011 is here!!

Happy New Year! I feel like 2010 was a blur. We spent the first half of the year preparing for our new baby girl and the last half loving on her :) She is truly something special. Let's see...Addison's first Christmas was a white one! Yes, it snowed the "good" snow in Georgia! While I typically hate snow, this was actually very enjoyable and beautiful. However, it kept us "on the mountian" for 3 days straight and caused family Christmas gatherings to be cancelled. It didn't bother us because we were getting to spend lots of time with our precious girl! She got SO many toys for Christmas...I can only imagine how susequent years are going to be- the toys only get more fun! Her favorite toy so far has been a cook-and-play potsy set from Mimi & Poppy. It is a fake cooking pot with fake food and makes sounds...she loves it! She also received a beautiful quilt with Dutch dolls on it- handmade by Granny Brown & Grandma Leggett (Ryan's great-grandmother). Addie's mommy & daddy are so grateful to everyone who gave her a toy-- they have really kept her busy! Just before Christmas, our little darling began to "crawl!" Well, it was more of an inch-worm move, but crawling nonetheless. In the past week, she has been perfecting her new skill and is now all over the place! Ryan and I have had to work on our babyproofing. Just before the new year, she managed to get one end of the fake broccoli stuck in her mouth, get her body stuck underneath the musical table, and began pulling up & standing in her crib. Needless to say, that piece of fake broccoli has mysteriously "disappeared," the musical table has been moved, and her crib has been lowered! It's been a busy few days at the Brown household. We are so excited to see what 2011 holds for our little family!!
